I Wrote 20,000 Words Last Week

Or thereabouts. By Friday evening, my fingers were throbbing from all the typing I was doing.
Sometimes prospective clients ask me whether I’ve got any experience writing for their industry. Naturally, it would be nice to have some prior insight into their sector, but it’s not necessary in about 99 percent of cases. Last week alone, I wrote website pages, press releases, sales letters, brochures, blog posts and assorted other content about eLearning software, a mountain film festival, a retail outlet’s Valentine’s Day promotion, an IT security tool, a Point-Of-Sale software solution, a photography app and health professionals. That’s actually pretty typical.
As a professional copywriter, I have to do my research to understand your industry, so I can write about it better than you could do it yourself. It’s what I do. I do it well.
Maybe a little too well. Time to take some more Tylenol for my still-achey fingers.
