Newsletter Writing

A productivity consultant* in Vancouver hired WRITEIMAGE to write their company newsletters. This became a long-term engagement, with WRITEIMAGE providing content every month for the company’s thousands of newsletter subscribers.

CHALLENGE
The customer had used newsletters successfully as part of their overall marketing strategy to build the company profile, showcase expertise and gain more paying customers.

But the company president became so busy with the main responsibilities of operating their business that there was less and less time to write the newsletter content.

Between running the business and taking on more and more international work, things finally came to a head. To leave more time for business development, the president had to out-task the newsletter writing duties.

Who could write the newsletter for the president? Who would have the expertise? How could they incorporate that personal touch that had worked so successfully in engaging newsletter subscribers?

With a referral from a trusted colleague, the consultant decided it was time to call WRITEIMAGE and see if they could help.

SOLUTION
A WRITEIMAGE consultant contacted the productivity expert to arrange a discovery process. This involved learning about the business, gathering large amounts of industry-specific data, understanding what had worked well with previous newsletters and recommending ways to improve upon that style of content.

Recognizing that the “personal touch” of the business owner’s writing style had received very positive feedback, the WRITEIMAGE consultant also undertook an in-depth consultation about the owner’s background and favored topics. Last but not least, the WRITEIMAGE consultant developed a list of style points and repeated phrases that newsletter readers had come to expect.

Following this discovery process, the WRITEIMAGE consultant was enabled to ghost-write the client’s business newsletters. Newsletter topics were alternately provided by WRITEIMAGE or the client to ensure all content was topical and developed in conjunction with the client’s overall marketing campaigns.

These newsletters have received very positive feedback from both the client and their intended audience. WRITEIMAGE has helped the client ensure consistent newsletter quality and meet deadlines. These newsletters remain an integral part of the client’s overall branding and business development efforts, reaching thousands of subscribers every month.
